Evacuation routes

For the first two miles, a 4-wheel-drive road runs along river right.
After reaching Big Springs, the river flows through private land owned by the Hearst Corporation,
which does not condone trespassers. The first two miles past Big Springs are undeveloped,
and a private road then begins to parallel the river. Evacuation through the Hearst compound
is possible, although will likely result in detention by the Hearst security force.
