Kings River
April 16 - April 19
The plan is to drive down to the Kings on Thursday morning (April 16). We’ll stay until Sunday and kayak the Banzai run. There may be some hikes/bikes/swims up the canyon or in the surrounding hills.
The Kings is in a pristine canyon of great beauty, with clear cold water. The flowers can be spectacular in the Spring. The Banzai run has a fairly continuous gradient with 25 class 2-3 rapids along the way.

NOTE: The Basin Fire closure was terminated on 7/26/24. The road is open to Garnet Dike, although trailers are not advised.
