River Safety & First Aid
As paddlers and as part of the Loma Prieta Chapter of the Sierra Club, Loma Prieta Paddlers works to help all our club trips and club members have safe experiences on the river. Some of the ways we focus on safety are specifically guided by the requirements of the Sierra Club. To meet these requirements, and to promote safety among our members and on the river, we offer these resources:
First Aid Kits
What club trip leaders must carry; what we recommend that each paddler carry. Make sure your first-aid kit is ready!
LPP River Safety Management Plans
Created by LPP for the rivers we run most often. These safety management plans include emergency phone contacts, nearest hospital, nearest pay phone and more. Print one for your next trip!
LPP Sierra Club Safety Plan
LPP's Safety Plan is officially provided to the Sierra Club. It covers plans for trip leaders, first-aid requirements, and more.
